Team Selection update

As you may know training for the island squad is now seriously underway as we prepare the for the European Championships in Bristol from 22 - 26 July. It is our intention to take four teams to Bristol to represent the island - mens, mixed, womens and mens over 30s.

It is our aim to select the wider squad on 17th April 2010 and those players will be asked for a £100 deposit towards the cost of travelling to Bristol.

The final selection will take place on 17th May to allow the teams two months of training. Deposits will be refunded to any players who are not selected as part of the final squad.

Based on the numbers who have attended training or indicated they will commit to training once winter sports have finished, we believe there will be competition for places and so players should attend as many training sessions as they can.

Training takes place on Thursdays at Cambridge Park from 6pm and on Sundays at St Peter Port School from 4pm. A training weekend has been organised for 24th & 25th April at St Peter Port School from 10am - 4pm on both days.
